The Lezgins are one of the native peoples of the Caucasus. In Azerbaijan they live compactly in the north, and Qusar is the only district of the country with a predominantly Lezgin population.

The Lezgin language belongs to the Nakh-Daghestanian family and is heard everywhere in Qusar — in the streets, the market and the homes. With it live songs, dances and customs passed from generation to generation.
