Getting there

Qusar lies about 180 kilometres north of Baku. It is convenient to come for a couple of days — for the mountains, the waterfalls and the ski resort.

A trip to Qusar is easy to plan from Baku: a good road leads to the town and the Shahdag resort, and nearby are the village of Laza and the mountain trails.

Getting there

The road and route

From Baku to Qusar is about 180 kilometres on a good highway — roughly two and a half hours. It is most convenient to go by car; in winter it is worth checking the state of the mountain roads.

From the town it is easy to reach the Shahdag resort and the village of Laza with its waterfalls. The trip is worth planning with an overnight stay, to take in both the mountains and the culture of the land.
